Audition Requirements:
What: Footloose The Musical- Youth Edition
Who: Actors Grades incoming 7th- outgoing 12th
When: Audition link opens February 1st and closes Feb. 15th. In-person callbacks are March 1st at 6pm.
Where: Callbacks, read thru and teen work days will be held at Mosaic Church, 894 OH-28, Milford, OH 45150. Summer Rehearsals and Show will be held at Milford High School– Multi-purpose room and The Z Auditorium.
Cost: if cast- Participation fee is $300* see audition letter for additional costs.
Single video link must include all 4:
- Slate: Introduce yourself (name, height, etc.) directly to the camera. It’s a brief, natural moment to show personality and provide necessary details without being in character
- Song: Please film a 1-2 minute musical theater-style song.
- Monologue: Film a monologue of your own choosing that can be up to 45 seconds. Please use a published monologue and do not perform more than one character. We are looking for connection and personality.
- Dance: Please showcase a short 16-count dance from a previous show you have participated in.
We are excited that you have chosen to audition with Milford Youth Theater’s production of Footloose- The Musical Youth Edition. Things you need to do before submitting an audition video:
1) Please read the Audition Letter
2) Create audition video including all above requirements.
3) Submit video using the following Audition Form link (this link opens Feb 1st) Make sure all information is current and complete.
Photo: You will upload a photo within the Audition Form.
Callbacks will be on March 1st

Rehearsals
First Read Thru: Sunday, April 26th- 3pm at Mosaic Church.
Rehearsals are June 1st-June 12th, and will be Monday-Friday 9:30am-3pm. Lunch not provided. All actors must be at every rehearsal.
Three extra optional work days are April 26th- 5pm, May 9th- 1pm, and May 16th- 1pm. Work days will be at Mosaic Church.
Performances will be Friday, June 12th at 7pm and Saturday, June 13th at 5pm at Milford High School.
